Last October Benefit announced, much to the horror of its fans, it would be recalling all stocks of its beloved Gimmie Brow brow gel.
We are still reeling from the shock, but thankfully news has just landed on our desks that the best-selling brow product is back and better than ever with a new and improved formula.
In a statement, Benefit said the most recent batch of the brow gel didn’t live up to its standards, citing the potential for eye irritation.
“Benefit Cosmetics is committed to the highest levels of quality and doing what’s right for our customers. Out of an abundance of caution, we are initiating a voluntary recall of our Gimme Brow product after discovering that recent batches of the product did not meet our stringent quality standards,” the statement read.
Now, PopSugar reports the new and improved Gimmie Brow+ is due to launch March 13th.
Bu is it really that different from the original product? According to PopSugar, its not all that different.
Gimmie Brow+ will still use the micro fiber formula that made the original such a hit, delivering a natural-looking brow boost every time.
Benefit said the formula was only tweaked slightly with updated ingredients to adhere to a higher product standard.
So, it seems it will be the same results, but with better ingredients – sounds good to us.
The most noticeable difference we’re told will be the packaging, which is changing from blue to pink.
You can find the new Gimme Brow+ at www.benefitcosmetics.com/ie/en-gb/product/gimme-brow-new on March 31st.
