After Netflix confirmed disgraced actor Kevin Spacey would not be returning to House of Cards, fans were left clueless as to whether or not the show would go on.
Confirmation came in January after Netflix revealed production had been resumed of what would be the sixth and final season of the landmark Netflix Original Series.
Now the streaming service has released a teaser for the new season and it looks like Claire Underwood, played by Robyn Wright, will be the hero (or at least the villain we can’t help but love) of the show.
The 45 second clip sees Claire in the Oval Office looking the camera straight in the eye and stating “we’re just getting started.”
It may be a brief insight into what’s to come but we like where it is going already.
Netflix confirmed earlier in the year that Academy Award-nominated actors Diane Lane (Unfaithful, Must Love Dogs, A Perfect Storm) and Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine, You’ve Got Mail, Anchorman: The Legend Continues) will join the cast of House of Cards for the final season.
Lane and Kinnear join Golden Globe winner and Emmy Award nominee Robin Wright, as well as Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver in the upcoming sixth and final season.
