Groove Festival is taking place for the sixth year at Killruddery House & Gardens on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July. The 10,000 Groovers are set to bask in the glorious heatwave with the best of music, comedy, culture, food, drinks and family activities.
Gates open at 12.30pm both days and organisers of this weekend’s festival, which is brought to you by Energia, have today asked festival-goers to remember to bring the sunscreen, wear hats, and bring water bottles ready to be topped up from site taps.
With a sizzling weekend of weather ahead, temperatures are due to hit the late 20’s on Saturday and Sunday, organisers would like to remind Groovers to be sun savvy and ensure they enjoy the weekend at Killruddery House & Gardens in Bray, Co Wicklow on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July.
Speaking today, Avril Bannerton, Groove Festival Director said: “We can’t wait to welcome all the fans to #Groove18. The weather has been unbelievable and we are taking all measures to ensure everyone’s comfort over the weekend in this heatwave. This is Groove and Killruddery’s time to shine. Summer 2018 will be one to remember!”
Groove fans will be treated to a weekend filled with so much to do. Music headliners include Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Heather Small – The Voice of M People, The Stunning, The Riptide Movement and Something Happens. The Sony Xperia stage will host the hottest – we couldn’t help that pun! – of new acts with The Eskies and REWS headlining.
Food and drink is plentiful at Groove with favourites including Saba, Bray’s Box Burger, The Port House, Killruddery’s own chefs and The Vegan Kitchen amongst others. To cool down the legendary Teddy’s will be on hand along with Ben & Jerry’s to provide the deliciousness of ice cream!
To quench the thirsty festival fans Hop House 13, Gordon’s Pink Gin and a vast array of drinks from cider to beer will be available. Free water fountains mean fans can refill water bottles as much as they like and stay hydrated.
A limited amount of tickets will be on sale at the box office on site over the weekend so all potential Groovers are asked to buy their tickets early to ensure they aren’t disappointed at the gates.
