While the follow-up to Wonder Woman isn’t due to come out until late 2019, a major plot spoiler for the sequel has already been revealed.
Following the super hero’s first outing, last summer’s record-breaking “Wonder Woman,” which took in $822 million at the worldwide box office, we now know that the follow up will be titled “Wonder Woman 1984”.
It’s also been conformed that Director Patty Jenkins will be reteaming with Star Gal Gadot for the DC super hero’s return to the big screen.
But that’s not all that we know following the release of the first photos…
The photo confirm that the sequel will be set in the 1980s but more importantly that Pine’s character somehow survived his fiery death in Wonder Woman.
The film’s director Patty Jenkins also shared a photo of Chris Pine on set to Twitter, writing: “Welcome to WONDER WOMAN 1984, Steve Trevor!”

Wonder Woman’s next big screen adventure finds her facing an all-new foe: The Cheetah, who will be played by Kristen Wiig.
Cameras are now officially rolling on set, with production place in Washington, D.C., Alexandria, Virginia, and in the UK, Spain and the Canary Islands.
Set to open in theaters November 1st, 2019, “Wonder Woman 1984” is based on the character created by William Moulton Marston, appearing in comic books published by DC Entertainment.
