The 2018 SAG Awards (Screen Actors Guild Awards) was held in LA last night, marking another major awards ceremony to take place since Hollywood began to address sexual misconduct and abuse of the power in the entertainment industry head on.

Unlike the Golden Globes, last nights red carpet wasn’t awash with all black dresses, but the SAG Awards responded to the #MeToo movement in its own way.

At the same time they unveiled the nominees last year the directors of the awards announced that all of the presenters would be female.

Also the first ever host of the awards, male or female, was to be Kristen Bell – who received high praise on social media for her performance.

Bell addressed the women’s marches that took place over the weekend, and slagged Melania Trump.

On the red carpet, we spotted Time’s Up pins clipped onto clutches and the necklines of gowns but the theme of the red carpet wasn’t all politically motivated.

In fact, no theme prevailed on the evening, with the stars choosing the celebrate their own unique styles with an array of bold and beautiful dresses – there was plenty of pink, sexy silhouettes, and striking jumpsuits.
