We’ve long filled our kitchens, halls, and living rooms with house plants, but now NASA has given us a reason why we should be introducing leafy greens into our bedrooms too.
Hanging or potted, it turns out, “bedroom plants” could be the secret to a better night’s sleep.
Not only do plants help reduce airborne dust levels and keep air temperatures down but the study by NASA and and the American College highlighted that certain plants can purify the air in our homes.
This is not only great for steadying sleeping patterns but can help prevent colds and allergies too.
Another sleep saving characteristic the research revealed were the aromas of certain plants – which are known for their relaxing capabilities.
It’s hard to argue with the scientific authority that is NASA, so it seems that one stay energised and well this chilly season is to get green fingered.
