It hasn’t been long since The Crown’s second season premiered on Netflix, but you’ll be forgiven for already eating your way through every episode.
If you’ve finished your binge and still craving more, like us, you’ll probably be grasping as every detail that leaks about Season 3.
We already know that the third series will see the show entirely recast, with Olivia Colman taking over as Queen Elizabeth II.
But who will play (everybody’s favourite) Princess Margaret?
Actress Vanessa Kirby played the part with aplomb in seasons one and two but now it’s time for the actress to pass the torch – Margaret can’t stay the same age forever after all.
The Evening Standard reported earlier this month that Helena Bonham Carter and Netflix were in talks, but there has been no official announcement yet.
However Kirby gave a big clue at the weekend that this very well may be true.
In an Instagram post she and her rumored successor, with a caption that read simply, “Honored @thecrownnetflix.”
We’re taking this as a confirmation, but don’t hold us to it if Helena does step into those fabulous and fierce shoes.
The Crown season 3 will be starting production now that the second run has hit Netflix, but when will it air? Unfortunately for fans it will probably be 2019 before it hits our screens.
