Dublin Singer RuthAnne Hits #1 Spot After ‘The Vow’ Re-enters Chart

31st July 2019 Dublin singer-songwriter RuthAnne was ‘beyond surprised’ and elated while she was watching the final of Love Island on Monday night and her song ‘The Vow’ was played in full on the show. The track has since hit the coveted to #1 spot in the Irish iTunes Chart! At the moment, it is in the Top #40 on the UK iTunes Chart and has been searched on Shazam over 12,000 times.

Speaking about the amazing news, RuthAnne said “I cannot believe that I have hit #1 in the Irish iTunes chart! I haven’t stopped shaking since I heard the song on Love Island on Monday night. It means so much to me as an Irish female artist… We have so much talent in Ireland and I am just over the moon to have achieved the #1 spot and I hope now that even more of my fellow Irish girls will get the same opportunity.” The stunning ballad soared at an emotional moment in the show as the Islanders all came together for the Love Island Summer Ball.

At just eight-years-old, Dublin-born RuthAnne started singing and song writing and performing in musical theatre productions through her stage school and regularly taking the mic at karaoke bars, winning free drinks for her parents. Her incredible career spans back to being 17-years-old, penning music for huge pop artists, including JoJo’s ‘Too Little Too Late,’ for which RuthAnne achieved the ASCAP Songwriters ‘Best Pop Song’ award. From then she wrote a string of hit records from Britney Spears’ RIAA platinum certified ‘Work Bitch’ to One Direction’s ‘Where Do Broken Hearts Go’ and Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha’s In The Name Of Love’.

RuthAnne’s next record ‘Unrequited’ is out on 9th August and her debut album will be released in October.
