These Are Officially the 10 Highest-Paid Actresses in 2017

Forbes has released its annual list of highest-paid actresses revealing the talented troop of ten women who tallied a total of $172.5 million (€148m) between them in 2017.

At just 28 years old, Emma Stone is this year’s highest-paid actress, raking in $26 million (€22m) over the year.

Stone’s ranking is in no small part due to her most acclaimed role to date, Mia in the movie-musical La La Land Stone, which also won her a Best Actress Oscar.

Stone knocked previously top-ranked star Jennifer Lawrence off the top spot, this year’s Number 3, and tipped her own idol, by just half a mill, Jennifer Aniston, who placed in second position.

Melissa McCarthy and Mila Kunis rounded out the top five, earning a far from shabby $18 million and $15.5 million respectively.

This year, three women tipped over the $20 million mark, compared to four women in 2016.

Notable absentees in the 2017 line up include Scarlett Johansson, who failed to earn above the $11.5 million cut off for this year’s list.

Overall, the cumulative total is down 16% from $205 million in 2016.

In order to create the list, Forbes considered how much actresses made between June 1st, 2016, and June 1st, 2017, before taxes and fees.

Earnings estimates are based on data from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders.
