Holly White’s Kind Beauty: 3 Cruelty Free Tans You Need Try This Summer

Holly White cruelty free makeup budgetWhen it comes to tanning it’s something I’m very discerning about. I’m not an obviously tanned person and also my skin is really sensitive.

I’ve been searching for that natural glow look for a long time and I’ve honestly tried a lot and only liked a small handful of products.

A lot of tans don’t work well on my skin and go on patchy and also make my face feel incredibly dehydrated.

If you’re after a natural looking, cruelty free tan that feels great on your skin these are my recommendations.

1. Eco By Sonia

Eco By Sonia Cacao Tanning Mousse (€35.95) is available in independent health food stores and is both organic and cruelty free.

Sonya started mixing batches of tan using cacao, flower essence, chamomile and all all things natural and organic in her kitchen in her home.

In 2011, Eco Tan made Australian history by becoming the first and only tanning manufacturer to be certified organic by the Organic Food Chain under the Australian government.

The product range is vast but in particular I loved the very natural glow that the mousse gave. It also feels lovely on your skin and gave a very even colour that faded evenly.

2. Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops

Created by tanning expert Jules Von Hep Isle of Paradise is a vegan, organic and cruelty free.

It’s also a bit a revelation and one of the first tanning products I have ever come across that uses colour correcting technology and has purple, orange and green tones to balance out redness and dullness creating exactly the right shade for you.

The tanning water is amazing and as a spray you can actually tan your own back quite easily with it but the real standout for me are the Facial Drops (€24.99).

You simply mix a few drops into your own moisturiser and customise your shade.

Previously most tans on my face left it dry and taught feeling and also when I had a full body tan I liked it faded quicker from my face so this is incredibly useful in order to keep your face topped up.

3. Vita Liberata Body Blur Skin Finish

For finishing things up one of my favourite products is Vita Liberata Body Blur Skin Finish (€37.50).

This contains a little bit of coverage and sheen as well as a light tan. It is a failsafe product that I always have in my travel bag.

Being naturally very pale I find a lot of instant tanners look obvious and just don’t suit but this is phenomenal and blends in so easily. It also doesn’t budge or rub off on clothing.
