This weekend, make your grocery shop one that a family in need will remember, as Tesco Ireland launched their annual Christmas Appeal.
TV presenter Laura Woods fronts the campaign for this year’s initiative, which calls on shoppers to support their local communities.
On Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December, Tesco Ireland stores will encourage their customers to pick up just one item, though more items are of course appreciated, as they do their usual grocery shop and donate it to the Christmas Appeal Trolley that will be at the front of each store.
From cereal to coffee and tea, toiletries or nappies, there is an array of goods that you can donate to a family who may not be able to afford these daily necessities – it truly is the little things that can make someone’s Christmas.
Teaming up with the award winning FoodCloud, the partnership will benefit Tesco Ireland’s surplus food donations programme, that is also supported by volunteers who represent 125 charities and community groups.
A ground-breaking collaboration between Tesco Ireland and FoodCloud, working together will see that all excess food from the supermarkets across the nation will be redistributed to these great causes.
