Mary Poppins Returns: Watch the First Trailer Released at the Oscars 2018

The style, the winners, the after party. There are a lot of talking points from the Oscars 2018.

One which might have gone under your radar was the long awaited release of the first trailer for Mary Poppins Returns.

More 50 years after the original film was released, the remake sees Emily Blunt taking on the role of the everybody’s favourite nanny.

The teaser brings us back to Cherry Tree Lane in of 1930s London.

The trailer also gives a first look at Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda as lamplighter Jack.

The character is seen flying a kite with a young boy before Mary Poppins makes her entrance at the end of the clip, flying in her umbrella.

Returning to the same home, there she meets a now grown-up Jane and Michael Banks, played respectively by Emily Mortimer and Ben Whishaw.

“Mary Poppins! It is wonderful to see you”, Michael Banks excitedly confirms at the end of the clip.

“Yes, it is, isn’t it?”, she affirms in response.

While we got a taste for what’s the come via the teaser trailer, we will have to wait until Christmas Day for the official release of Mary Poppins Returns.
