M&S got the royal seal of approval yesterday as Meghan Markle choose to wear the high street brand for her second official public engagement with Prince Harry.
Meghan picked the British retailer on a visit to a south London community radio station with her fiancée.
Twitter users swiftly identified her €50 sweater as one from M&S’s Autograph collection.
The wool blend black sweater features a round neck and bell sleeves, which Markle teamed with Burberry trousers, a coat by Smythe, and a scarf from Jigsaw.
Marks & Spencer quickly reacted on Markle’s choice of knitwear, tweeting: “#MagicandMarkle – Meghan wears our Autograph Bell Sleeve jumper on her trip to #Brixton”.
Hundreds turned out to see the couple at Reprezent 107.3FM in Brixton, which trains hundreds of young people every year in media and employment skills.
The former Suits star blew a kiss to well wishers outside Pop Brixton, a community project that houses independent local businesses, start-ups, new restaurants and the not-for-profit radio station in shipping containers.
During the visit, the couple donned headphones as presenter Gloria Beyi, 17, was on air.
“I can see why your show is so popular. You’re so thoughtful and your approach is so engaging,” Markle told Beyi. “I must tune in”.
While the Meghan’s exact sweater sold out in hours, you can still get your hands on a sweater from the same Autograph collection for €60 HERE.
Her Burberry trousers are still available however, HERE, but at over €500 these might be a bit more of a strain on your budget than her high street sweater…
