Michael Jackson is moonwalking onto the Broadway stage.
The King of Pop’s hits will be showcased in an upcoming musical, expected to debut in 2020, 11 years after the pop star’s tragic death.
While the name of the musical has yet to be confirmed, other details have been confirmed.
According to Playbill, the Jackson Estate and Columbia Live Stage are teaming up for the production which will based on the late artist’s life., which will feature Christopher Wheeldon as the director.
Lynn Nottage, the playwright behind hits like “Ruined” and “Sweat,” is also attached to the project.
Michael was previously depicted on Broadway in “Motown the Musical,” where actors portrayed him during his days in the Jackson 5 and performed hits like “ABC” and “I Want You Back.”
In 2013 Cirque du Soleil launched Michael Jackson One, which takes place at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
The only question is which of the 13 time Grammy winner’s many, many hits will make the stage.
