It may be still sub zero outside, and the clothing choices you’ve made this week might have been limited to balaclava or no balaclava, but Penneys have just dropped their new summer collection and it has brought some much needed sunshine into our lives.

The 2018 ‘High Summer’ womenswear collection is all about print and colour, and with three diverse trends there is something to suit every one’s holiday vibe.

If you’re a retro babe, you’ll be all over the laid back Acid Surf trend. THink all-American cool denim pieces, knot-front t- shirts and graphic patterns, in muted ivory, yellow, and subtle shades of pink and blue.

A little bit more exotic are the rainforest inspired strappy sundresses, Hawaiian shirts and kimonos of the Amazonia trend range in an array of bold dark purples, greens and fuchsia pinks.

Then there’s Follow the Beat, featuring cool and floaty fabrics, with pops of traditional patterns in tones of ochre, terracotta, and chocolate brown. Highlighting it all is bursts of bright mustard

Key pieces across the trends include wrap-front blouses, cheesecloth dresses, and the kimono.

While on the accessory front the fringed slider and embellished espadrille are must-haves.
