Just three weeks ago it the confirmed that Prince Harry is to marry his American actor girlfriend Meghan Markle, and now the official photographs to mark the engagement have been released by Kensington Palace.
The two images were taken by fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski earlier this week at Frogmore House, Windsor.
A black and white portrait of the couple embracing was shot in the grounds of Frogmore House and shows Meghan in a white sweater holding the Harry’s face, with her sparkling engagement ring on show.
A more formal colour picture shows the couple hand in hand on the steps of Frogmore and gives us a better insight into their photoshoot outfits.
Harry is dressed in a blue suit while Meghan is glowing wearing a black and gold embroidered dress.
Speaking to the BBC, Mr Lubomirski said: “It was an incredible honour to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for one another.
“I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
We already know that the couple are to wed at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, in May 19th 2018.
Prior to the wedding Meghanwill be baptised into the Church of England and confirmed.
