Hoping to hire an ‘exceptional’ member of staff to join their team, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are on the hunt for a ‘Communications Assistant.’
The job was posted by the Royal Household on Linkedin.
While the post would be based in Buckingham Palace, it comes with the opportunity to travel across the UK and overseas “to support important visits and engagements.”
If Harry and Meghan’s proposed schedule for the next year is anything to go by it looks likely that this job will involve trips to Canada, Australia, Germany, Barbados, India and Bhutan.
Other requirements for the job include having to party-plan for the household, with the job ad explaining, “You’ll organise coverage of set-piece Palace engagements including investitures and garden parties, and provide support as required for off-site engagements.”
The lucky candidate will also be in charge of Harry and Meghan’s social media accounts, and will be tasked with updating their platforms, writing feature articles and press releases for media coverage on the couple.
The job has been advertised as a 12 month contract from April 2018 to April 2019 – meaning you’d be by the couple’s side when they walk down the aisle in May.
Other job perks include 33 days of annual leave and a generous pension scheme.
The salary for the entry-level role is £22,000 salary and the ideal candidate is advertised as someone with “energy, enthusiasm and potential.”
