Review: Bring Your Hair Back to Life with the Pantene Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Range

Confidence may seem like a small thing, but it can have a huge impact on your life, and whether we like to admit it or not, having good hair can have a significant effect on our self-confidence.

In the past few years my own hair had let me down. It was dry, constantly breaking at the ends, always a frizz and thinner than it had years before. In turn, my confidence was knocked down a peg, or ten, and often I would style it into a bun or plait as to not have to deal with it.

I had tried numerous hair care products that promised volume, strength and growth, and those which were recommended for fine or damaged hair. However, recently I was introduced to a new range by Pantene Pro-V that would change everything.

What’s the hype?

Micellar water has been all the range in the past decade for our skin, but what about for our hair? Pantene Pro-V released their Micellar Cleanse & Nourish Range this summer, which includes a Shampoo, Conditioner, Foam Conditioner and Serum.

Within the formula, the brand’s scientists have used Micellar water, which helps retain natural water and remove excess residue, to leave your hair fresh, clean and moisturised.

Essentially, the range aims to cleanse hair but protect the hairs natural fibre structures while doing so, which means that the hair is left squeaky clean but isn’t stripped of its natural oils.

What does it look and smell like?

The shampoo, which is clear in colour, and normal conditioner both have the usual textures, but the foam conditioner comes out like a mousse.

I’ve only needed a small amount of the shampoo for my whole head, while the conditioners require an even smaller amount, which I use only on my lower-half and ends.

“After using the range for only three weeks straight, my hair was visibly softer and lighter.”

Leaving the conditioner in for about 3-5 minutes, once washed out and dried it leaves me with silky smooth hair.

The collection does have a slight fragrance to it, but is subtle enough not to overpower, unlike other hair products I’ve used.

Does it work?

The short answer? Yes! After using the range for only three weeks straight, my hair was visibly softer and lighter.

But more importantly, my hair was healthier. My hairdresser also noticed and pointed this out to me, asking what change I had made that had improved my hair so much.

Before, my hair genuinely felt like straw – it was dry and limp. Now, I am delighted when heading out as my hair is soft and has a shine, one that’s reflected by my beaming smile.
