Sorry to Break it To You But: The Spice Girls Aren’t Going on Tour After All

We’re sorry to be the ones to break this to you, but despite the rumours and reunion pictures that were all over Instagram last week, it appears that the Spice Girls will not be going on tour.

The rumors began last week when every member from the iconic girl group started sharing photos showed they’d all been hanging out together again:

It was all a bit too much for some fans, and the internet was rife with new sources claiming that a reunion was imminent, with TMZ reporting that the Spice Girls had met to plan “a world tour that will kick off in late summer” 2018.

However, Victoria Beckham herself just shot down any glimmer girl power hope we had dared indulge in.

Speaking during a during a preview of her Autumn Winter 2018 collection at New York Fashion Week, Beckham told E! News, “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”

Speaking on their (what’s seems was a one-off) mini-reunion, Beckham continued: “It was so great to see the girls. We had such a fun lunch. It was really, really, really lovely. I still speak to them all individually, but for us all to get together was really lovely.”

If it’s any consolation, boy band Blue announced they are getting back together and will be touring with none other than Steps… no, that news doesn’t do much to console us either.

NME reports however that the girls are considering standalone shows.
