This Irish Artist is Now in NYC Collaborating with the Team Who Worked With Chris Brown and Kylie Minogue

Our new musical discovery shines a light on Daytona Rose who hails from Dublin, Ireland but resides in NYC. From a young age it was evident that she loved to sing, from performing at a wedding at the age of 4 when she was flower-girl to performing solo a few years later at the the Late Late Toy Show with the National Choir.

A trained classical pianist completing all of her grades through the Royal Irish Academy of music, Daytona went on to attend the infamous Rock College in Ballyfermot, Dublin. There she learned to write songs and hone her performance craft.

Unsurprisingly, she was then chosen to do an exchange program in The Pop Academy, Hammelburg, Gemany. Which set the precipice for an International music journey which would see her travel all over the world developing her music including Dubai, LA, London and where she currently resides – New York City.

For many aspiring artists alike, New York is the place to be, and it was in New York where she started recording and collaborating with some big writers such as Kevin Mc Call who is behind Chris Brown -Deuces / Stripped, Lil Eddie who has worked with Kylie Minogue and Autumn Rowe who is a vocal coach on the USA X Factor & Americas Got Talent.

We Asked Daytona what her plans are for 2019:

“Right now I am studying dance and performance at the Broadway Dance Centre and have been honing in my songwriter and performance skills in New York the last two years with some incredible names within the industry, so I am confident I am putting out my best efforts in the new year”.

Highlight of this year so far?

“I am just after performing at Art Basel which was a phenomenal experience, getting to perform in front of so many creatives. I cant wait to perform more next year with the new material coming out”.

Speaking of new material, Daytona was keen to share her new Instant Grat track that she just put out for her followers! It is called ‘Don’t Say Too Much’ and touches on the pop sensibilities of most of her musical peers such as Rita Ora, Jess Glyne, Little Mix, Anne Marie and Bebe Rexha and can be streamed here:

What is the track about?
“Don’t Say 2 Much” is a pop/rnb record. In this song I’m speaking directly to my significant other & revealing my inner thoughts on the relationship to them but at the same time letting them know that I want everything to be kept private between us, as it should be. In present times, people reveal too much or overshare on social platforms, this is my ode to privacy!”

What will come after the Instant Grat?

“I am going to release my debut EP with lead single ‘Done Up’ early next year, so I am super excited about that and continuing on this journey”
