One of the newest range on the market, these soy candles are made in Cork, created and developed by Lucy Hagerty of La Bougie. Celebrating Ireland’s produce, Crop Candles have an intriguing selection of fragrances, including Rain, Rhubarb, Sloe and Douglas Fir.
Another great brand, Field Day offers beautifully scented candles, inspired by Ireland. The bespoke fragrances are infused within natural natural wax candles and hand-poured for that extra special touch. Their Christmas release of the Limited Edition Winter Candle is available only between October and December 2017 – indulge in a blend of cinnamon, clove, spicy orange and soft vanilla.
One of the most popular makers, Max Benjamin offer a range of 17 fragrances using luxury natural wax candles including tea and coffee collections. Run by Wicklow brothers Mark and David Van den Bergh, the label has been going strong since the early 1990’s. Plus their gorgeous packaging makes for excellent gifts at any time of the year.
If you’re after luxury then check out these light-scented candles by Tipperary Crystal. Renowned for their crystal glass- and homeware, the brand’s candle holders double up as glasses you can reuse afterwards. Fresh Irish Linen and Bay Leaf & Mint are only a few of their delightful candles – and they also have a selection of aromatherapy candles and diffusers.
The Bearded Candle Makers
Using Irish key aspects for their inspiration, the Belfast brand offers customers fragrances like A Real Turf Fire and Irish Whiskey. Created to evoke memories of places or past events, they sell every weekend at St. George’s Market too.
