It’s officially that time of the year when leaving the house without at least three layers is no longer just style statement but a necessity to make it to work without frostbitten fingers. Though your style need not be compromised by the need to wrap up, as showcased by the United Colors of Benetton Winter 2017 collection.

The longstanding high street store has just launched its latest winter warming collection, featuring stylish pieces with a Nordic twist as well as an update on their essential knitwear in colourful shades.

Visitors to their flagship Irish store in Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre can take their pick from the range that offers chic yet staple pieces that will take savvy customers all the way through to spring.

One of the stand out pieces we’re crushing on is a cream robe coat with black trims to military coats with faux-astrakhan details.

There’s a nod to that ‘heritage’ trend too with a single-breasted overcoat, blazer, cropped jacket, circle-skirt and tailored trousers in large and small houndstooth.

On trend with the 70’s feel, blue and orange-red wool coats feature wide lapels, faux-fur collars and fake horn buttons.

The coat style of the year, the puffer jacket, makes an appearance too. United Colors of Benetton has designed a cool puffer jacket that’s light, reversible and in 100% goose down. Colours are red, blue and green with contrast colour linings and college style cuffs and welts.

For desk to dance floor drama there are darling pieces like a jacquard sweater with golden details and palazzo-effect tuxedo pants among the new collection.
