On Friday, 1st November, 2019, luxury shopping destination, Kildare Village, welcomed Vogue Williams, Spencer Matthews, and their baby, Theodore, to officially launch the festive season at Kildare Village by turning on the lights for the village’s spectacular Enchanted Lights show, which will run every night until January.
Guests arrived to Kildare Village and were welcomed in Dunne and Crescenzi with a festive mulled wine, while TV presenter, DJ, and model, Vogue Williams, was on the decks to make sure everyone got in the party spirit. Just before 6pm, Vogue and guests made their way outside to the sleigh, where MC Glenda Gilson officially invited Vogue, Spencer and Theodore to turn on the Christmas lights. Following the official turning on of the lights, Vogue, Spencer and Theodore, delighted invited guests and shoppers by meeting and greeting them.
The spectacular never seen before experiential attraction, Enchanted Lights, has been created by one of Ireland’s most pioneering creative production studios, Algorithm. Enchanted Lights took all the guest on a magical journey through the village with its five illuminating immersive experiences – two projection mapping pieces bringing the village to life with movement, colour and technology; the Lawn of Light; 15 bespoke archways transforming the boardwalk above and below; and a light spectacle on the 13th century Grey Abbey.
The light show wowed attendees who included stylists, Ingrid Hoey and Corina Gaffey, Irish blogger Lawson Mpame, artist Audrey Hamilton and as well as top Irish model, January Winters.
Enchanted Lights at Kildare Village is open now and will run until the end of January 2020, celebrating Christmas and the Chinese New Year. Kildare Village welcomes families and groups of friends to enjoy the spectacular light show, which will illuminate the village every evening of the festive season. The light show is accessible to all and there is no admission fee.
