When we asked Vogue Williams what she considered to be her greatest achievement, she replied sincerely “finding true happiness within myself… I’ve learnt to be comfortable in my skin and be nice to myself.”
This answer could have induced an eye-roll, after all how could someone who is so very in the public eye and subject to constant scrutiny have achieved this aspirational level of self-love?
But you know what? We completely believe her.
Presenter, DJ, author, and model, Vogue is the ‘ultimate slashy’ – a title given to her by fellow #WomenWelove interviewee Andrea Horan – and it’s obvious, when both you meet her and via social media, that she is loving every minute of her multi-faceted career and fun-filled life and won’t let any one else get in the way of that.
Launched into the public eye in 2010 on reality TV show Fade Street, the Dubliner has since become a household name and found love along the way too, with former Made in Chelsea star and fellow The Jump contestant Spencer Matthews.
Although she lives an admirably healthy life, is an avid fitness fan, and brand ambassador for Nutramino, Vogue is the kind of girl we’d imagine would be great fun on a night out.
While we haven’t managed to firm up a date for a girls night out just yet, ahem, we did manage to get the opportunity to chat to Vogue about the biggest risk she’s ever taken, how she stays motivated at the gym, her must-follows on Instagram, and her most unappealing habit…
What was your life goal aged 10?
To star on Home & Away!
And what is it now?
Well I visited Palm Beach, so consider goal ticked. My life goal now is to continue living the fullest life I can – the journey is just as important as the end goal.
What would I tell my 16-year-old self? Keep enjoying life. Life can be crazy and you will go through difficult times, but keep enjoying the crazy ride.
You’re a model, author, presenter and DJ. If you had to choose one of your many roles which would it be?
I love that switching hats between jobs is now an option for many freelancers.
I’m extremely lucky that I’m able to do a mix of what I love and each aspect provides different job satisfaction.
Presenting is my true love, I love meeting different people and learning about their lives.
Having the opportunity to travel to far-flung destinations with Getaway is the dream.
What subject are you are dying to investigate in an upcoming series?
I’d love to learn more about the Wim Hof method. It’s a breathing technique that is used to calm the mind.
His nickname is the ‘The Iceman’ (@iceman_hof) as he trains in the snow and swims in ice-cold water. You might just see me in an ice bath soon enough.
Would you like to co-host a TV show with Spencer?
Absolutely. He’s a natural presenter and extremely funny, so it would be great fun.
What do consider your greatest achievement?
Finding true happiness within myself. Too often we look to other people for assurance. I’ve learnt to be comfortable in my skin and be nice to myself.
What is the biggest risk you’ve ever taken?
Partaking in the TV programme, The Jump last year. I loved learning such a cool skill and met the best people.
I was so disappointed when I injured my knee, I’m very competitive, so naturally I wanted to be in it to win it.
Not too many things scare me and I actually enjoy doing things that scare me a little.
The adrenaline rush and that feeling you get having just scared the daylights out of yourself is so worth it.
What is the one thing you wish you could tell your 16-year-old self?
Keep enjoying life. Life can be crazy and you will go through difficult times, but keep enjoying the crazy ride.
What other women in Ireland are inspiring you right now?
You know, I’m really proud of the women that take a risk to go out on their own and start a small business.
It can be so daunting to do this, to know if you will have enough money to pay rent and the bills etc. But they are doing it and doing it so well.
My friend Ashley O’Rourke (@makeupbyashleyorourke) is a prime example of a freelancer working her butt off to do what she loves.
My mum has always been my biggest inspiration; she continues to encourage me to do my best, try something new and don’t be afraid to just go for it.
What’s your coping mechanism for dealing with the spotlight and the pressures that come with it?
I’m really into early nights in with Spencer and Winston, my dog.
Training provides me with extra energy and always balances out any stresses. I like to work out in the morning as I find it sets me up for the day.
Training really clears my head and it’s a healthy habit I’ve brought into my daily routine. Plus I’ve learnt to believe in myself, trust myself and I like to surround myself with good people.
Fitness has become a huge part of your life. What advice can you offer those struggling to stay motivated?
Make life easy for yourself. I’m a big fan of prepping as much as I can the night before.
I definitely struggle with early mornings, but I find that a Nutramino HEAT drink really helps give me that extra bit of energy before a workout.
What’s your favourite way to keep fit?
I love to mix up my workouts to keep it interesting. I really need to be enjoying a workout to finish it.
I love to run with Winston for bit of fresh air and cardio. Boxing keeps my arms in shape and personal training has brought my knee back to good strength after my operation last year.
What are your favourite restaurants in Dublin?
Could I say my mum’s cooking! I really enjoy the local fresh fish shops around Howth, the options are endless.
I’m dying to get to Two Boys Brew to try their coffee, I hear it’s amazing.
And where would you head for drinks after dinner?
Home. I’ve become a bit of home-bird recently; I love my early nights in. I completed dry January and decided to try my luck at extending it and so far so good.
I’ve never felt so amazing and I get so much more work done in my day.
I do love a night out, and recently went to Bunga Bunga in London, which was great fun!
Do you see yourself relocating to Ireland permanently in the future?
I’m settled in London for the time-being. We have bought an apartment together and I’m loving turning it into a home with Spencer, something that is ours and a place where we can unwind.
Luckily Howth is just a short flight away and very close to the airport so it makes going home to Ireland all that easier.
I go back regularly to Howth to see my family and friends; its home. There really is something so special about Howth, it’s my favourite place in the world.
What are your top 3 must-follow Instagram accounts?
If you could raid anyone’s wardrobe, whose would it be?
100% Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. I love her casual style and she always wins best dressed in my books.
And what is the most treasured item in your wardrobe?
Other than my gym gear, which I’m always in, I’d have to say my engagement ring from Spencer. He put so much thought into the design and it’s truly so special to me.

What are your three dessert island beauty essentials?
Sunscreen for face and body, water as the more hydrated I am the better my skin glows and I can’t live without Dr. Paw Paw lip cream.
What is your phone wallpaper?
I switch between Winston and a picture of my sister and me pulling random faces. I love the picture as it reminds me not to take life too seriously.
What was your most embarrassing moment?
I sometimes snort when I laugh. That in itself is embarrassing, but sure it must be a good joke if I’m snorting.
What is your most unappealing habit?
Potentially being on my phone a little too much. I am very active on Instagram and love to be that way. The downfall is my phone is glued to my hand.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
‘Like’ and ‘absolutely’
Chipper or Chinese?
A spice bag from the chipper! Best of both worlds.
Can you share any upcoming projects that you have in the pipeline?
I have some fun events with Nutramino lined up this year and I’m looking forward to launching the new Nutramino Nutra-Go range, which is out soon – so watch this space.
